Dominican model Rose Cordero graces the cover of the March 2010 issue of Vogue Paris, marking the first issue with a model of color in over eight years. Rose dons Louis Vuitton in a military-inspired shoot photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
"I think that part of that mythology forged at Yves Saint Laurent by astounding models like Katoucha has been missing from the fashion archives in years. Rose to my eye is a brilliant opportunity to refresh that imagery.. that feeling that is Parisienne couture ...that is extreme elegance... "

A couple of weeks ago, V magazine announce that they will devote their January issue to ladies of all body types -- women with a little more meat on their bones being no exception. The magazine feature plus-sized models Crystal Renn shoot by none other than Terry Richardson.
Im not really feeling Richardson´s shoot, nice try but it sends the wrong message.
Other photographers shooting for the issue include Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Karl Largarfeld and Bruce Weber.

Turlan has explored this layered concept quite extensively, for his project ‘Torn Mag’ and the most recent exhibition of his work at the Galerie Anne de Villepoix in Paris.
